Joyce Casey is an award-winning artist and experienced instructor whose work spans multiple mediums, including fused glass, mosaics, watercolor, and graphite/colored pencil. Her art consistently reflects a passion for animals and the natural world, rendered through vibrant color, texture, and emotion. With over 20 years of experience, Joyce is known for her inventive use of materials and her joyful, exploratory approach to art making.
Her fused glass and mosaic pieces range from intricate interior wall art to bold 3D garden sculptures, celebrating the versatility and beauty of glass. Drawing and painting, in contrast, offer her a quiet, meditative experience, allowing for intimate connections with each subject. Regardless of the medium, her goal remains the same: to explore, to be bold, and to have fun.
As an instructor, Joyce is dedicated to helping students unlock their creativity and bring personal visions to life. Her teaching philosophy—experiment, be bold, and have fun creating—encourages artistic freedom and confidence. She currently teaches mosaics at MakeSpace Kayenta and offers private workshops in mosaics and fused glass.
Joyce’s work has been recognized with numerous awards, including Best of Show for her mosaic Sunflowers at the Red Cliff Gallery, as well as multiple honors in watercolor and mixed media. Her artistic journey continues to evolve, one stroke or cut at a time.
